Donkeys at Highfield Garden Reserve

This reserve sits between Snells Beach and Algies Bay. Follow the 60 minute walk to enjoy good views of Algies Bay, Snells Beach and Scandrett Regional Park from the lookouts.

You can bring carrots, silverbeet or apples to feed the donkeys, they are very friendly.

Bring a picnic, there are tables and seating areas inside the park.

It's now open for visits and about to undergo a further major refit. It's a wonderful days outing visiting all the bays on the 'Mail Run Cruise'. All steeped in history, plus there are shipwrecks, wallabies and peacocks and if you're lucky dolphins cavorting in the Bay.
